OUR MISSION

Inspiring the World, One School at a Time

The STEAM Dream began as my Girl Scout Gold Award Project but since then has grown into an opportunity for students from a variety of backgrounds to become engaged in new fields and build networks with people in those areas. Our goals can be summed up as the following:

• Educating kids in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math)

• Engaging kids in education, and demonstrating its importance

• Inspiring kids to do more with what they learn

We meet these goals by demonstrating how STEAM subjects connect to their everyday lives. In my community particularly, I have always encountered students who don’t see a point to what they’re learning, and through the STEAM Dream, I hope to fill in these blanks.

The fairs have also become a great way to give back to and connect with my community. By bringing many different organizations together to work toward a common goal, we become closer and create a bigger impact. The STEAM Dream has partnered with several schools, educational organizations like Early College at Guilford Robotics, and food pantries, allowing each an opportunity to build each others’ service to the community.
